Why should you join a mail protest?
Disability rights are not only being threatened, but being taken away through a corrupted and false democracy.
The UCP (United Conservative Party) started strong by reducing AISH (Assured Income for the Severly Handicapped) funding by $49 million, while introducing and spending funds on the "new" program ADAP (Alberta Disability Assistance Program). The truth is this program mirrors what AISH is supposed to be.
ADAP will see receipients receive $200 less than if the receipient was on AISH, being $1940 to $1740. It will also see exempt income lower from $1072 to $350. These aren't the suggestions of a government looking after it's people, it's a direct and hostile punishment of disabled Albertans with systemic eugenics.
